Children explore rustic life, nature in group show

Children and adolescent artists displayed artworks depicting diverse subjects in a three-day group art exhibition held at the Nalini Kanta Bhattasali Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in the capital.

The exhibition, organised by Green Art School, featured 210 artworks by 151 artists. The artworks were created with mediums, namely oil, watercolour, pastel and acrylic.

Artist Biren Shome was present as chief guest while artist Abdul Mannan and writer Syed Golam Dastagir were present as special guests at the inaugural ceremony held on May 27.

The artworks depicted scenic beauty, rustic life, flora and fauna, everyday objects and others.

Among others, Tasnim Fairose, aged 11, displayed an acrylic artwork showing flowers placed inside a water jar; Manha Morshed Ruha, aged 8, displayed an acrylic artwork showing fishing boats on a beach; Fabian Ferdous, aged 10, portrayed the scenic beauty of rural Bengal in his acrylic artwork and Sukriti Ghosh, aged 8, depicted rustic life in her watercolour painting.

The exhibition ended on Monday.
